Dry Edible Beans
Roy Legumex owns two processing plants located in the heart of the Dry Bean production area of Manitoba. Annual dry bean plantings are generally around 100,000 acres. Manitoba growers have embraced this special crop as a part of farm diversification that started in Western Canada during the late 1980's. With favourable climate and soil types suited to edible bean production, Manitoba is a reliable production area for pintos, black beans, navy pea beans, and some of the coloured bean classes.
